Well I think its about time for a new jacket. I've had a Tourmaster Rincon for a number of years now and still like it but the zipper is failing and most of the velcro is worn out. I'd like something that I can wear through the winter but with a removable liner. Suggestions welcome.

Zippers are easily repleced if the rest of the jacket is in decent shape. I love the biker style double lapel jacket I got from Guide Gear for $75 many years ago and is still my favorite. Very well made heavy good quality leather, nothing has failed on it to this point. Zip in liner and all. It is as good or better than the Triumph biker style jacket I have that was $600 new (I think since I bought it 2nd had but never work with tags and tissue still on it.

Looks like the Guide Gear jacket has been discontinued. Important to get that double lapel style in my opinion. That isn't a style look it is functional. Those lapels fold in and create a wide flap behind the zipper that keeps wind and weather out.

Look at Leatherup.com I bought my café racer cowhide jacket from there. It was about $130 and it looks awesome. Vintage look with a soft feel. Real leather so its durable.

Be careful with leather up, they sell lots of junk. Poor quality leather and not made well. I am not saying they might not have some OK stuff but I have yet to see any from them.
