Actually Alan, I have to say while those old water-cooled Moto Guzzi-esque motorcycles were never the prettiest machines ever, they were known to be fairly bulletproof and well engineered little suckers, ya know.

Confession time. I owned one once...with a sidecar! When my daughter was born we needed something to be able to continue riding...so I hitched a Canterbury double adult sidecar( look it up..like a giant Easter egg) to a plastic Maggot, as the CX was known here, and away we went. All was well till my brother in law borrowed it forgot about the sidecar and overtook a milk float...write off all round.
