H&D have decided they want to sell more bikes in Europe, so their bright idea is to build a factory in Birmingham (UK),
At least it may bring some more jobs to the area after the closure of Rover.
Mind you one good point to come from this, is that there will NOT be a hosepipe ban this summer in the Midlands!!! As Adey will be drawling for the next few months until it has been confirmed!!!!

I remember from living in Bromsgrove last year that they are opening their (H-D) European training centre in the middle of the town there ... it's only around 6-7 miles to Brum I think from there.

Unfortunatly i missed most of the article on local news, but the bit i caught, was that they were going to open a factory for production not training.

Probably so.
I was suggesting that the proximity of Bromsgrove to Birmingham would possibly make it a goer.
Sorta, having all their European eggs in one central Midlands basket.

A hosepipe ban is a ban on using domestic hosepipes for any reason. This normally happens after what they call a drought (ie 3 weeks without rain) causes the supplies to drop. Doesn't matter that the same water companies have so many leaks in the supply system that they lose 33% before it gets to the consumer! Greedy b*stards won't spend enough money on putting the pipelines in order cos it means their shareholders won't get a dividend.
