I just had kid on a zoom splat behind me, decked out in proper attire. White wife beater, shorts, ball cap and flip flops. But what I couldnt believe he was talking on a cell phone! I have never seen that before, busy two lane with a lot of turing traffic, the kid pulls out in front of a tractor trailer. Then is riding oddly, then I notice his left hand is up by his head and stays there. Anyone else seen stupid sportbike behavior like this?

A few evenings ago I came to a stop light and saw a sport bike rider at the light and off his bike talking through the open car door to the driver in a car in the next lane. As I got closer I could hear them both yelling, LOUD. I don't know what started it. I just drove on. Bad scene.
A couple weeks ago I was in Portland, OR. The GF was taking me to the airport. We were on I-205 in the far left lane, trying to make time, with 5 or 6 cars ahead of us, and then a long open space ahead of them. We were slowed way down and I thought 'what's going on?' Then I saw a sport bike riding very slow in the fast lane ahead of us and blocking traffic. Suddenly he cut loose with a wheely, and not a very good one, racing up the open road. Then he slowed way down once again and blocked traffic. He did this 2 or 3 times. Then suddenly he took off fast, weaving in and out of cars until he dissappeared into the traffic. I don't know if he was just a bad rider or purposely acting obnoxious. Probably both. The GF and I agreed that it's guys like that who give bikers a bad rap. I'm sure the cage drivers behind him were really PO'd. I usually try not to judge other bikers for behaviour or preferences, but this guy was way out of line. Maybe he was drugged up. I dunno.

Yesterday I saw a guy on a bike smoking a cigar. With the smoking ban I guess you have to light up where you can?

Hmmmmm some seem to think they are invincible. I recently witnessed some real bright spark decked out in all the scooter safety gear, rubber thongs shorts tee shirt etc, using a mobile phone to send an sms. All this while he was riding at 80km/hr one handed...Cool hey!!

More like the later. I often get the impression, while out in the car, that some of these sports bike Johnnys are just out to be as big a pain in the arse as possible. As if they need to show brains and bikes don't mix!

cell phones and riding seem like a bad idea, to say the least. maybe it was an emergency call to 911, "i'm going to crash on..."
