Just back from my trusted Triumph dealer where I'm having some stuff done that I don't want to do myself......
He said he's been told that the new cruisers will indeed be here for next year but that they'll use the 900 engine.
Hmmm....
He's lent me one of the 900 scramblers and, though it's a nice bike and smoother at low revs ( only got 400miles on it so Im reluctant to wring it's neck)I'm not sure there is significantly more power in it than a good 865.
On the other hand I can't say how it performs when it's thrashed.
If there's not a noticeable step up in poke though, I'm not sure why Id want to pay out for the new model.
Anyone currently running a new 900 engine bike day to day and can tell me how it compares with the 865?
