Charging my 2 month old battery on an automatic charger at 2 amps, maintenance free setting. The green "Full Charge" light has not come on after a few hours.

My battery tester (Schumacher BT-100) indicates 13v (top of green range) with no load, 11v under load (bottom of green range). Before I trek to where I left the bike, I wonder if you guys think that should be sufficient to start the bike.

When I parked, I noticed there was a slick oil spot underfoot, so when I dismounted, I checked that out, and like a fool, left the ignition on and the fog lights on for an easy 2 hours...

Load as in battery load test, or something else?

Battery load test. The BT-100 tester has a Load button, hold it for 10 seconds and take the reading. It gets quite hot after 10-15 seconds.

is the battery a wet cell or AGM? Maint Free mode puts a slightly higher voltage. not too sure about AGM mode though. My charger has AGM mode which i use on my bike . If you can wait longer then do so but it should start at 75% charge maybe even 50%.

Wet, Yuasa YT12B-BS, which I think is what the OE was.

Give it a try, if you load tested then the test read out should also tell if it is good to go. It should be sufficient.

Apparently 13v with no load, 11v under load was enough to fire it up.

If you using a load tester designed for a car battery with heating element there is no way to decrease the load for a motorcycle battery and you are putting a load way too heavy for that small battery, thus the low reading under load.
