Glad you got the pics. I was hit a few months ago and my first thought was that the guy would run. I did the same thing under the guise of taking pics of the damage (including the driver). I was lucky, he stood up to his mistake (cell phone), but it would have been so easy for him to bolt - like the guy who hit my mom a couple of years ago.
I hope the guy in the Mustang is licensed and insured.
