I must have gotten lucky, because I continued on for another 10,500 miles of my Summer tour without a glitch. Just nekkid DNA pods and my own version of a battery holder. I do run a longer rear tire spray deflector plate or metal curtain with a sheet rubber add on for any swing arm interference, than any other version I have seen. But I have never given it any credit other than it keeps the area where the airbox was, a lot cleaner.
