Just got back from a weekend ride covering 750 miles on my TBA LT. It's got a set of long Tors plus I've recently removed the O2 sensors and air injectors. Needless to say the bike ran beautifully at speeds usually from 80- 90 mph ......I noticed though that from yesterday afternoon it seems to me ( and to my friend I ride with on a Speed master) that my exhaust sounds louder. No rattles which might indicate loose baffles or anything obvious...it could even be just that after 3 days the noise was getting to me hour after hour. But it's also running cleaner and more responsivly under acceleration....nice problem to have,eh? Q? Have I managed to dissolve the baffles or maybe decoked the exhaust in general Or am. I just imaging it?

I don't think it's your ears Al.I take mine on a decent ride and it's always a little louder[sweeter] exhaust note when I come back.I don't think it's carbon build up or like that because mine gets hardly any stop start city riding.

Baffles open up in time and after a long ride at speeds like that I would say you probably burnt them open a little and they sound better. Nothing unusual or anything to be conserved with unless you don't like it . The bike is breathing a little better on that side of the equation .
ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!

I have the emgo's, and they sometimes seem to get louder when warmer to me. I think it may be a safety feature . I am guessing it is most welcome for you. Ride on.

Yes, quite welcome...though whether my Beloved will feel the same affection for the noise is open to debate...she will be sitting above those exhausts for about 1500 miles next month. If love is blind, maybe it's deaf as well?

Download some new tunes to her (insert phone or other MP3 listening device) get some good ear buds for her and she will be humming along just like the bike.
