I'm afraid Triumph ran into trouble( like the rest of our UK makes) through years of investors taking the profits rather than investing in new machinery.
When the Japanese started selling larger capacity machines they just could not compete in terms of performance and reliability.
Sad but true...I watched it happen.....and wept.
