For the first time in 7 years ownership my 08 EFI TBA refused to start on Friday morning. Lights but no turning over meaning the battery was probably too low. Put it on charge and sure enough fired up o.k. in evening so bought new Motobatt. The old Yuasa was the original one so no complaints on that score. Nine years service is more than acceptable in my book (think keeping it on tender every other week definitely helps). Fitted new battery this morning and took the opportunity to look around the bike and discovered detritus sitting in the bottom of the DNA air filter I'd fitted, together with the breathe cover from TTP. Vacuumed it out and found it was about a handful of large chewed plant seeds that a mouse had obviously been storing there and feasting on. Luckily Mickey hadn't taken up residence, just using it for a lunch stop, and also luckily decide not to chew anything else nearby. Anyone know best way to prevent similar occurrence?
