Hi...a question..... I replaced the rear tyre recently following a puncture. Noticed today there is slight movement on the rear calliper plate suggesting the fit s a bit sloppy where the groove in the plate locates with the protrusion on the inside of the swingarm.....not sure if this is correct.....any thoughts? Thanks

They come as new, with a loose fit to the swingarm dog, when they get too loose (beyond spec), you may hear a disturbing clunk sound every time you apply the rear brake. The easy fix is to replace, I see them listed with the breakers now and then and usually fairly priced.

Thanks Ryk..that's helpful to know...I couldn't see anything obviously wrong with how I'd put it back together and wondered if the slop was normal.....but couldn't recall if it'd been there before I took it all apart.

As long as the slot on the Al You Minny Um carrier isn't wallowed out and you can tell visually, you should be good to go.

Well then, mine does that too. The disconcerting clunk. Maybe look into a shim of some sort.

I'd hope it isn't too far outside spec....the bikes an '014 LT with 7.5 k miles on it...most of them mine these last 6 months.....

If it isn't clunking, don't worry about it.

OK....confession time. Went out this morning to adjust and lube the chain.....spindle nut was finger tight! Reckon I forgot to snug up the chain adjusters when I put the wheel back in. No more slop now.
