So I am getting a little depressed about it and figured I would do the mature thing and run away for a while.

Bikes are great therapy, and really no more expensive than a decent shrink.
So the question is:
Should I ride from Dallas to Seattle and see my brother?
or
Should I ride from Dallas to Key West, just cause?
To me, that's a no-brainer. Seattle, and I'd do it something like this, with a little flexibility for impulsive curiosity:

Jackson Hole
West Yellowstone

Missoula
Spokane
Seattle
Now THAT would be a great ride!
