Gents, I just did this mod. When I hit the starter I get a grinding noise, no start. When doing this mod I ended up having to remove the centrifugal breather and driven gear (page 5.17 in the Triumph shop manual) to get the idler gear out. Before I tear this back down do you guys have any idea what to look for, that I screwed up? Does the starter drive gear go back in a particular way?
