It's officially spring, all the northern bikes are coming out of hibernation and the southern ones may need some TLC as well. What are your favorite cleaning techniques?

Personally I'm a bit on the lazy side. I like my bike to look good but I'd much rather ride it than clean it. I typically put it up on the bike jack, spray it down with some of the commercial bike or car wash spray (in the shade) wait a few minutes then hit it with a power sprayer. If anything is left I hit it again. I try to never actually rub anything that is dirty. Avoid the chain, bearing seals and electrical parts with detergent and high pressure water. Then I take a leaf blower to it to remove the water before I get water spots. I then hit the chrome with a microfiber cloth with chrome cleaner and the painted parts with a good wax or equivalent and another microfiber cloth. The windshield and lowers get a once over with a polish made for them. I toss the cloths into the laundry before I use them again. The entire evolution takes less than an hour. Then I take it for a long ride and cover it with bugs and dirt again.

What do you guys do?

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
