A fellow I work with had an old Meriden Triumph 1972 I think rebuilt over and over through the years. That thing vibrated so hard tank and fender mounts would crack and have to be welded over and over. He had the engine out and apart so often he could probably assemble it blindfolded. When I had my new Triumph he showed little more than passing interest in it. He finally said "man I've had it I'd rather ride than wrench" so without hesitation or regret he bought a brand new Road King.
