I seem to recall changing out a bunch of Honda Stators back a few years ago. Yamaha had big trouble with their 750 triple, and the electric system on my DT 400 was problematic and it goes on and on. All bike makers got caught up in the mad rush for product in the 70's, resulting in less than stellar results.
