The weather has been warmer than normal with plenty of sun the last few days so I hopped on the bike to ride to work yesterday. Made it to the end of the street and realized I did not have my ID badge. Turned around and pulled into the drive,put her in neutral and reached for the side stand and......not there. Started looking and realized the foot peg on the side had broken off and the stand was tucked up under the exhaust where I couldn't reach it. So here I am, 55 years old, over weight, sitting on the bike with my backrest on, not nearly as agile as I once was, wondering HOW THE HELL AM I GETTING OFF THIS THING? Let me tell you, if the neighbors were watching I'm sure the got a good chuckle. I did manage to get off after some careful balancing and even managed not to drop her as I reached under her for the stand. Needless to say, she stayed at home after that. Now I have to wait for bikebandit to send me a new one. Looks like it could take a week or two.
