So I have 30,000+ miles on my bike and it hasn't had the nices life some of it is my fault some of it was circumstance. I totaled it the year I got it. Had to ride it through frame deep flood waters and many other things. So this past year as I was fixing my dads bike I found my front wheel bearing to be a little sticky. I have started to get a little head shake so neck bearings are going on it. Had a bad oil leak I think because I was taking covers off checking things compared to dads bike I must have messed up some gaskets. Oh and the chain and sprocket are done I mean bad LOL real bad.
So since I am doing all this other maintenance anything else I should look at check or do?

Might as well put new brake pads on it while you have it apart.
I put a 19 tooth front sprocket on mine and love it. Not expensive and easy to change if you do not like it. You have to learn to ride it like a 4 speed with overdrive.
And clean those hard to reach area will you.

I bought a almost new 19T last year for a long trip I took. I hated it except on the highways. I ended up stealing the 16t or 17t off my fathers 790 and love it except everyone I ride with hates it because its screaming all the time. I will probably buy a stock 18t it really is the best for all around riding

Brake fluid flush. Replace the fork oil. Dielectric grease on all of the connectors in the fuse box. Check the coil gap while replacing the right side motor cover. Dielectric grease for the relays under the tank. And check the rubber hoses and caps for dry rot.

I have put braided lines on recently and changed fluid then. Fork oil is a great idea I will defiantly add that to my list. I did coil gap a year ago or two because my fathers bike was having problems plus I have a broken bolt on that cover and it is very RTVed on if I take it off I feel like it will start leaking there. I will check all plugs and rubber while it is a part

I think something isn't right here Not a good find. I wonder if that is why I was vibrating in second gear. I hope I can find one on Ebay or is there some kind of upgrade?

Well after a good day I got the back wheel together and back on the bike all new bearings and a new sprocket.
Next project is the cover near the front sprocket and put the front sprocket on.
