I wouldn't count on that parts availability optimism. Especially since the same article said: "However, there is talk of selling off “factory inventory, tooling, and other physical assets, and the cancellation of various supplier arrangements”. So where do these new replacement parts come from? Yes by law manufacturers have to make parts available but in reality you will get the "it's backordered...no release date" from your local dealer. It happens all the time with cars when GM killed Pontiac and Saturn the popular Solstice and Sky roadsters suffered the same fate on critical unique parts like convertible tops and front fenders etc.
