I have to disagree with that, they never made a factory cruiser but there are countless Triumphs modified as such by owners, as well as choppers and bobbers.
Actually Triumph Meriden never made adventure bikes or anything like a Speed Triple or Rocket III either.
What we're seeing is a logical concentration on updating the best selling models first.
Triumph has an excellent powertrain in the Thunderbird/Storm and the new 1200 Bonneville so the expensive part is already done. They've got to concentrate on style and quality of material fit and finish to progress in the cruiser market. It's entirely possible if they make a commitment.
