And you do know the only reason the GTO did not have the same Pontiac 421 engine was because of GM's no V8 over 400cid in any midsize or smaller car corporate policy at that time. This was part of GM's official antiracing rule, the exception was of course the Corvette. It's also why Oldsmobile cheated and created the Hurst/Olds claiming it's 455 V8 was installed by outside company Hurst and then sold through Oldsmobile dealerships. Ahhh... Corporate politics.
