Yep. There are a number of Victory haters on Indians and these guys A. Don't realize the same guys that designed and built Victory are the same ones that designed and built Indian, and B. The same thing could happen to Indian (or Slingshot!) in a heartbeat if it was not profitable.
Just a prediction, now that there is no Victory watch for a metamorphosis of the 106 power train to show up in a future Indian...
Yes of course, that's what I was talking about earlier.
Times are tight in the motorcycle market and the Polaris board can carryover the entire Victory Vegas platform and powertrain with just a restyle and upgraded trim materials launch "all new" Indians at a fraction of the normal development cost. The bonus is since they've already had all of the problems worked out there won't be the usual new model teething issues. But they have to restyle the bikes so it's not obvious they're just rebadged and so they look like Indians not Victorys...but hold the fender skirts please.
