True, just so long as the division isn't starved of resources and product by the parent company causing the failure. In the case of GM Buick had nowhere near the potential that the Pontiac brand had. But at least all of the blue haired old ladies can trade their aging Mercury Grand Marquis in on Buicks.
Indian got a mid size cruiser in their second year while Victory waited 16 years to get the hand me down Octane.
