My riding heart is heavy again this time a year knowing that I will not be riding the best roads with some of the best people, but I must stay home. My daughter is being honored tonight for her academic achievements as a top 20 twenty student in a class of 480. Saturday, I must attend the graduation party for the daughter of a very close friend, and Sunday my daughter has a regional swim meet in Orlando. Oh yeah, my son has his end of the year football party on Sunday just for kicks. Have a great time and ride safe. We'll be together soon. Being a Dad comes first, and the Tigger has some electrical issues I haven't yet sorted. Anyway..... Ryan

Heading out Thursday morning with a detour planned across the Cherohala into Carolina. Check out a few water falls along the way and slip into gold town from the southeast. High Lonesome

Got to Tupelo about hour and a half ago. Rough day. I was fighting the wind all the way. . Hope the ride up the Trace will be more enjoyable.

Yeah it's like a 'fantasy highway". Smooth road no traffic no semis and lots of good views.

It's raining had here in Dawsonville. Bummer. That means it's doing the same over in Dahlonega. Gonna try to ride over Friday PM and definitely Saturday if I can hold the throttle. Had a small tree accident today , got a really bad rope burn on my hands and under my left underarm. Owwww.

That rain sure sounded great under my tarp while swinging in my hammock last night at the campground. It finally quit when Paul and I got to Dalton. Made it to Memphis in one piece despite all the wildlife. Saw a doe doing a squirrel impersonation on 52. It ran out into the road, spun to the left, then to the right, and ran off when I was about 20 yards away. Then after Paul and I split up, the biggest buzzard I've ever seen did a kamikaze run into the left front of my bike. It wasted my left driving light. Fully engaged my clutch lever with my fingers on the grip. Got my first 2 fingers pretty good. Then proceeded to hit me in the left knee and shoulder. And I may have been going rather rapidly seeing how Paul was no longer with me.
Great rally. So lucky to get to hang out with y'all. Can't wait till the next one.

Great seeing everyone again this year. Thanks as always to Chy and Di for the hospitality. Yota, Dani, and I had a mini post-rally in KY last weekend. I took some video for anyone who was curious what the track process was like ;-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMn9xSufSssHopefully that video makes you want to get out on the track ... I'M LOOKIN AT YOU YOTA!

This is at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. The museum is worth the trip for anyone who hasn't been. Especially since the sink hole!

Well heck, another one for the books. We had a great time as usual. So good to get together with old friends.. talk about the old times and those passed on... drink a little "Yotahooch" and ride a bit. Over the years the rides have gotten shorter.. comes with getting older I guess but the time spent is quality time. Thanks again for all making the trip to hang with us for a few days. Looking forward to next year already... rally pics here.

Me Three. That is the finest piece of pavement i've ever ridden. Not exciting or challenging, just miles and miles of smooth creamy turns.
