Never had a problem here with the two America's carbs or the injectors in the Victory.

But ethanol surely does kill the little carbs in my chainsaws. The best way for small motors to avoid damage it to drain them/run them out of gas.

The generator on my Motorhome, I twist the gas line off and let it run out of gas rather than leave that crap in the carbs.

Well we're lucky we can get PULP.I run my old banger car on 95 and my Triumph on 97 but I'd sometimes put a tank of 91 ULP in which wont be around now[91/95/97 octane are a different rating to yours]It's about a farmers political party having the balance of power in our government and money for them.

Here in the US it's a combination of the Greenies pushing a non solution for a non problem, the big Ag companies and the farmers demanding a market for their excess corn. It doesn't reduce pollution, it lowers your fuel mileage and harms a lot of vehicles BUT plenty of politicians (in both partys) want to require you to use it in order to please their favored groups.

Yup, we have the starving around the globe and we burn the corn.

We have an ethanol plant close to us and it is interesting. As soon as the gas prices started falling and the corn went up they shut down after only operating a few months. They are up and down all the time.

Here the greenies want it of course.They have the public fooled by any idea they drag out saying "It'll save the planet", but the greens aren't popular except with the yuppy hipsters and don't have much power at state level.The farmers party have a crucial few votes and have the balance of power.They're taking care of their constituents but unfortunately we all have to cop the ethanol fairy story while having our machinery destroyed.
As I say luckily we can still get the [expensive] good stuff.On the up side the PULP 95 octane stuff gives better mileage and better running in my car.I've always used the good 97 stuff in my Triumph

Jack Daniels is probably rolling over in his grave, imagine wasting all that good corn on fuel for vehicles let alone the fact it is false economy ( unless those big combines are now running on ethanol.)
