Ok first and foremost the America is going nowhere. I truly love that bike. I have been trying to get Emma to ride more with me all summer. She was determined that we needed a bigger bike. Being the perfect husband and deeply in love with my wife and wanting to make her every dream come true there was only one thing to do.

Oh what a good husband you are, Billy. Such a sacrifice you've made for a happy marriage.

LOL Emma and I are fortunate for sure. These bikes have two different purposes.
Emma really was the driving force in getting the Rocket. I would have been happy with just the America.
But hey, who am I to tell my wife no.
It is Boss.

Oh I have thought about that and there may be a Paint Job coming over next winter. I have a cousin in Nashville that does custom work. I was always confused with the America because I like her as she is, but the Rocket might be the perfect bike to take advantage of him.
The R3T seems to not have many customization options so a custom paint job might be just the deal.
I may also get a cupholder?

Bill, congrats on the purchase of that Rocket. Both of you will love the ride. I purchased a Roadster 3 years ago and love it. Sadly had to give up the America though. Still wish I had it but I do ride with the fellow who purchased it. Often have to tell him to clean the bike up because it never got that dirty when I owned it.
Treat that Rocket with respect. Oh, the touring model is severely restricted in horsepower (but not torque). You can get the power of the Roadster with a map change using Tune ECU and a proper OBD2 cable typically from Triumph Twin Power. Have fun.

That looks like a comfy ride. A set of ear buds hooked up to some good tunes and Emma may never want to get off the bike.

People on the Rocket forum scare me. I mean we all want to get the most out of our machines, but some of those guys are nuts. I like them.

I agree Bill. Some of the horsepower those guys pull out of the Rocket is crazy. And they want more..... Nothing wrong with that.. Oh, BTW, I have a couple of close friends that live in Anderson and Carmel just north of Indianapolis that we visit with often. Not far from your place. I've purchased parts from the Triumph shop in Indianapolis several times also.

Let me know when you are in the area and I will run down. North side of Indy is only 45 minutes from here. Falcone is a nice shop in Indy. I got the Rocket from Windy City Triumph in St. Charles IL. About 3 hours from here. They made me a great deal on it.
