Wire from the Headlight relay? BTW, if the HLight relay goes ka-putt, the bike goes dead.

Bob, A bit more info would really help. Is it the starter button, something about the kill switch? Or something else?

Just thinking from the opposite end. Wouldn't that happen if the neutral safety went bad thinking you were in gear?

Have you mapped out via a schematic back from #5 fuse to give you an idea as to where to look in your harness for a break in continuity? Schematics have been posted here before (vault) if you don't have access to one.

You might as well add the sidestand safety switch to your tests. You can short that connector to simulate the stand being up to make that easier to eliminate as a source for your problem.

There is a safety switch attached to the clutch lever too. I had to pull the wires caveman style, twist the wires together to get home one time. All these safety interlocks are great unless a train is coming.

All my safety switches test good --all been replaced except clutch which tested good over and over- got a bad connection where wires clip together. It's interment- that's why it's killing me finding it.. I appreciate any ideas you guys might have!!!!!!!
