OK...I'm crap at using the search option. What's the best or easiest way to remove the cat on an EFI? I suspect it's to remove/ replace the header pipes. I need to know before I plot out my ai removal/ silencer sort out/ remap to remove the speed limiter. Thanks for your thoughts. Al

Not sure if there is any catalytic converter stuff in the headers of the latest models, here or in the UK. The early EFI models had none, the headers only had O2 sensors in place. I've had my header pipes off and there is nothing in them.
09 America, some modifications

Anyone went to BikeBandit and looked to see if they have put up the exploded diagrams of the vintage year in question yet? They do strive to sell every OEM part and variation available from Triumph.

No point in trying to compete with the kings of search engines..... Go to Google type site:bonnevilleamerica.com then your query and it searches the entire site for the term. For example, https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=site%3...m+efi+catalytic

We moved back to UK from US a few months ago, and are temporarily living in a village called Manston, near Ramsgate. But we are only in a rental because we rented out the house we own in Whitstable when we moved to US 2009, and we have to wait for the tenants lease to expire.
Hopefully we will be back in Whitstable before Christmas, and then I can ship my bikes back - at the moment they are stuck in storage near Boston, as the rental house has no garage/shed/drive to keep them.

I have a 2009 Speedmaster and the "cat" is in the muffler not the header pipe. Remove the muffler and about 4" in is the cat. It looks like honeycomb, get a small hole saw hole saw, about 1" dia and drill into it, its about 2-1/2" long and is made from a coiled looking sheet of steel. Get a bigger hole saw that just fits inside the muffler then drill through again. break the parts up small enough to get them out of the hole. if you use a hole saw thats big the pieces are awkward to get out of the hole. you need to support/hold the muffler still asit wants to grab and twist. I wrapped my muffler in rags and slid it into the vise and lightly clamped it enough to keep it from rotating. Happy gutting!

I believe you want an earlier vintage set of TORS anyway, the ones with the straight through flow make the best power and sound and they are definitely catless..

Carbed version would not have the CATs. I would think they would fit, but not sure. Mine is carbed.

The heat shields are different I think so lengths might also be a problem....further study is indicated.

The older TORs from carbed bikes will fit the EFI bikes. The heat shield is slightly smaller and the clamps will now show. Other than that they worked great and ran better ( I think) before the remap.
