Royal Enfield have a long history manufacturing in India, they bought more than the name, most of the factory went as well. Lots of BSA bikes found their way to India and lots are still going, they do have a reputation there already so a NEW BSA would sell in that market. An Indian rebadged W650 Kawasaki manufactured there for example is one possibility I have seen mentioned. Ironic that the original W 650 was a BSA copy.
