You need a big 36mm socket to get the front sprocket off. I remember I changed both. Of course I replaced my chain too. It's best to do all at once if your chain is worn out. I got everything I needed from fasteddy, including the socket head. 
Hi Paul.My chain is going fine.I bought a front 18/rear 42 and chain set from Eddy a long time back but haven't needed to use them.I reckon there's a fair bit of wear left in the chain so I'll just add the 19T.It could wear the chain out a bit faster but nevermind.
