It can't be for speed reasons. Getting the ecu re mapped would do it, surely?
I believe my R3 was restricted to 135mph (I think because after that it would be like an out of control steam train if it hit anything
) and I had 151mph out of my Sprint (on a private road of course ...).
As for getting it removed, there must be a way but I'm sure it would need a 15yr old with a laptop.
