Second hand prices for Americas/Speedys are low here too.IMO when Triumph went from the 790cc motor they should have got to 1,000cc+ but still no 1200cc cruiser from Triumph that I can see.As you say they're concentrating on the Bonneville.
I'm old enough to remember when 1200cc Harleys were the biggest displacement bikes made and a 650cc Triumph was a big bike.

Does the Thunderbird not count because it's 1600/1700cc?

I'm talking about the days before Hinkley Triumphs.
For me a T-bird is too wide and too heavy.A 1200cc or any 1000cc plus engine in a Speedmaster/America would fit me just right. If I had two good knees a bird would be ok, or the new 1200 Bonnie too but I like cruisers.
