another 'leaning in the wind' event.

everyone is in a rush to buy water and food, really? yep, too many folks always rib me when mention is made of my hurricane pantry. Canned fruit, beans, greens, pumpkin/sunflower/raw cashews, you name it. I'm cooking my butter right now (ghee requires no refrigeration), and the rest of our bacon is frying. We'll have fresh eggs as long as the girls don't get 'carried away'. gonna board up today. Gonna shift the boar from the garage feezer to the kitchen side by side frig as tons of frozen seafood is in that one. Should power get lost for longer than my gas, the neighbors will enjoy some merritt island hog and wild caught seafood! yesterday was spent collecting all the yard riff raft to keep the missiles at a minimum. all electronic devices fully charged, including my dewalt batteries. got 8 gallons of ethanol free gas yesterday. got plenty of booze. loads of charcoal. moe's not evacuating, lynns in silver spring. mandatory evacuation order in effect at 3pm today.
if needed, there is plenty of generator gas in the Highlander. and another 12 gallons in the motorsickles.

the talking heads are talking this one up as the worst ever. yep, they get paid to stoke the panic. bunch of empty vessels they are.

got plenty of batteries, flashlights, lighters, and, ... ammunition.

btw newt, You guys on the 'jerry springer' coast have some warnings up for tropical storms.
