Hi everyone - my 06 America cuts out after about 5 miles. And no it's not fuel. It's like you turned key off. Coils good, CDI good , coil pickup good -- on Internet Guys who ride in rain a lot have this problem. A relay gets water in it shuts down bike. The one that's connected to kickstand switch. Internet says it's covered in black rubber on left side. ANYBODY know where this relay is can't find it. And no it's not under the tank. Anyone replaced this relay? Thanks Bob

Is your fuel tank vent clear? I had the very same experience and it was the bloody tip over valve gone wonky. Yours is not necessarily an electrical problem, more like 50-50. 5 Miles is typical of a vapor lock/fuel restriction as much as a overheated or shorted out relay. I have now owned 5 Speedys (not all at the same time) and two Americas and the very first thing I do upon ownership is omit that valve and reconnect the hoses with a 1/4" open brass tube.
