865 Thrux & 790/865 Bonnies have 360 cranks, all BA/SM/Scrams have 270 cranks...

I like the sound of the 360º crank better.

Something else we disagree on
My unstated point was that the OP would have to either change the engine management or the cranks in order to swap a 360 for a 270. Might be more trouble than that is worth. Or not...

If it was a complete engine, then only the ECM/Igniter and coils would need to be changed and possibly the wiring harness depending on the knowledge of the mechanic. The upside, more top end power. The downside, less mid range torque. Not good for a cruiser.

Bonnie engine uses a single input dual output coil. Although, you could probably wire the dual coils on a 270° engine to do the same. That does bring up the point that it likely requires some small changes to the wiring harness too. But still doable.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright (1876 - 1944)

I didn't know they used the wasted spark method on the 360º engine.

A spark is a terrible thing to waste.
