Agreed on the competition. Victory and Indian will make HD work hard to stay level
I don't think you can make an air-cooled engine too much bigger without it becoming a heat monster. My guess is we'll start to see liquid-cooled bikes before too long. I'm waiting on a liquid-cooled Indian 4. 
A big air cooled twin is quite nice for winter riding. 
Revival of the Indian 4 would be great, but where would you get a Ford V8-60 to make it go fast?
