Watching on the TV, I noticed - and heard - that the crowd in the background seemed to be waving Mexican flags, and the guy doing the speeches was speaking in Spanish. For folks trying to prove how American they are, they were doing a pretty bad job.
But here's the deal: the US does NOT have a problem with immigrants, and the entire country is founded on immigration. If today was truly a protest to show how important immigrants are, we could ALL have taken a day off. However, this was a smokescreen for the supporters of making illegals legal.
And as folks always say to we immigrants; if being English/Irish/French/Mexican is so important to you, why not go there?
