Interesting history there Chad.I was told that spiral staircases in castles are made so as to allow right handed men to use their swords defending the stairs more easily coming down.

As I used to tell my friends in Europe and the U.S.,

"You may drive on the right side of the road, but we drive on the CORRECT side of the road"

Well, you know Paul, there IS a reason in our shared language a synonym for the word "correct" is "right", don't ya?!

Dwight,I think,it's because there were more right handed people out there, making the cockeyed rules up, rather than we numerically less, but smarter left handed people.Otherwise Left would be right and correct and right would be wrong or less correct than left.Things would come out of right field, instead of left field. Not quite correct would be a little right of centre not left of centre.
I think I need to cut down on the caffeine.

Don't forget that the Latin for left handed is sinister. Hardly a coincidence.

And the correct side on the road is the one I am driving on at the time😜
