I'm looking for a three-quarter face / open face helmet to keep the wind out of my eyes considering I wear contacts. Has anyone tried the shark raw or seen it, could you give me your opinions on the look I've got a triumph America with ape hangers I want to look good but also I want to function well. I am open to all suggestions for looks quality and performance on these types of helmets. Also considering the shark Nano, and the Nolan and 21. Your thoughts please thank you

Dunno man, those just look to me like apocalyptic urban riot police gear crowd control helmets and don't really conjure up images of cool and apes and a toothy grin.
Biltwell has a line of cool lids, 3/4.
LS2 brand model OF583 "Union Jack" is cool as well.

Sure David, it's all about the cool. Dress commensurate with what you be riding on.
(safety and performance is cool, too)
I always thought a full coverage lid looked silly on Harleys and half helmet looked even sillier on a Aprillia ZX1200 DVR-C7 sport bike. Retro and bobbers need a 3/4 helmet and goggles !
I usually wear a 3/4 lid, but on long rides and hammering the twisties I wear a full

Helmets are like cowboy boots. You cannot own just one pair. That being said my favorite all around helmet is the GMAX GM67s. I do not have ape bars. I am old and need to watch the direction of my blood flow. GMAX GM67S

I've had a Matt black one since they came out. Limited colours then and there was no option then other than standard smoked. I like mine, I'm getting another but like most open face, there is quite a bit of wind noise. The face shield is quite close to your face so if you ride when it's cold, your breath condenses and you end up with a wet beard. If you have a beard. The goggles remain clear though, again, if it's cold, for a short while when stationary they can steam up a little but they clear on the move.

I usually wear a full face in winter and an open face 3/4 style in summer.
