OK so I have been gone for a while, but I will soon be back on the forum. The 5c summary is we moved back to the UK as planned, but I left both my bikes temporarily in the US, in a storage place, as I expected to be coming back and worth every few weeks. It was a good plan until Uncle Sam refused my application to give up residence status (return my Green Card), meaning I was classed as a US PAT and liable for US tax (as well as UK). Means I was effectively barred from the US until the immigration situation was resolved. That took 18months but finally happen a few weeks ago and I have popped back to find that my 2005 which was supposed to be sold in consignment (to pay for storage of my 2003) hasn't been sold, so I have a storage bill of approx the value of the 2005 just to get both bikes out. A friend is going to provide a new home for my 2005, and I can finally ship the 2003 to UK...or at least that is the current plan. Gotta love red tape!

Go to Mexico and sneak across the border into California. Not only will they let you stay they'll hide you from the Feds and give you a welfare check.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
