Does anyone have pics or know of anyone here who has put the old style "pedestrian slicer" or front number plate on one of their Americas or Speedmasters? Thinking about trying one out on my 2012 America.

Make one out of Aluminum plate, you should be able to hack out a reasonable facsimile from available images online. Would using your licence plate numbers make it legal?

Yeah, I fabbed one of those for my "57" Triumph. Started with 1/4 inch square rod, bent it to shape, then inserted and welded a thin metal plate into it. Hammered the ends flat to make a place to drill for bolts, drilled and mounted to fender. Not that hard for an ametuer metal worker.

Ryk, That's pretty much what I was thinking of doing. The ones for sale on eBay and such are between $35-$40 a pop. I figure I could make a light weight one that doesn't require drilling of my nice (plastic) front fender in case I didn't like the look.

Kinda like a cow catcher on a train, only it slices the deer in two instead....
