I know what you mean, that is riding at it's best out that way. that would be a great ride for Mert's RAT pack. I like to stop for coffee at that little cafe at the Cornwall bridge you can sit at the picnic table across the street next to the river.

I'm basically free weekends now till july 4th. It's amazing. I don't know how! But I think I am Let's make sure the rain stops first... In fact, on my drive back from the ferry today I was running over routes in my head Thinkin maybe get you guys at the boat, ride around for an hour, BBQ at my place, then a nice ride out east. Do we REALLY need to go to Montauk? It's nice once you GET there, but it's frankly a boring ride there...

We can stay on the north shore. Whatever you think is good. Your the LI guy. I haven't lived there since 1981. As long as I have some notice, I think any of those weekends would be OK.

I used to hang out in Bayville all the time. That's a nice part of LI. It's in the Oyster Bay area. Lloyds Neck, I think Teddy roosevelts house is in the area. Been a long time...

Well we could criss-cross the island and not even go west of Port Jeff... But I'll take a look at things. It will also depend on what time you guys get here. We'll see. Gotta sit down with a map!

Matt, I work Sat's 'till 1:30. The 28th would be better for me, unless you want to do a Sat afternoon run over to LI, and come back on Sun. Or, I could try to meet up with you guys Sat afternoon. Let me know.

Everyone look over those dates and post which ones will work for you. We can make it on the Sundays, if this is better for you.

I'm open any of those weekends so far, but the sooner the better as far as a decision goes. Once we get half an idea, I'll start an official thread.

How about June 4th which is a Sunday? Is that good? If Sunday is a problem then let's make it on the 3rd.

How bout 3rd with a rain date of the 4th? Are you guys flexible enough for that? I know some of you work weekends... I mean we can probably have a good idea a week ahead of time if weather is going to be an issue...

That is supposed to be a good meet. So dave... do you mind missing the Long Island thing or did you have your little heart set on it? I'd hate to leave someone out knowingly if we can find an alternate... Or we can just shoot for the 3rd and you'll have a busy weekend.

Hey benny, if those dates are good for everybody else go ahead with them. I'll decide what I'm doing as the dates get closer. I just might have a busy weekend!
Thanks for asking.
