Good looking bike! I like the ride too.. responsive and easy to handle. The seat improvement makes it even more ride-able.. I say ride the wheels off of it.

I like it. The passenger pegs interest me. Do they sit on the back of the seat or are they up close and personal?

Bonnies are a hoot, love the seat! Is the seat done by a supplier or is it a one off?

Not quite sure I got the question but either way, the passengee pegs only remain because The seat can be swapped out for the orginal seat whe 2-up services are required.

Mac, the seat design is my own. It is based on an original Bonnie seat pan. I wasn't looking for a typical Thruxton cafe-racer look but just a single-seater Bonnie. I am still thinking about black handlebars and mirrors. The leather was originally all black and I spent around 30 hours 'tanning' it to the shades I wanted. Let's just say a lot of dyeing, rubbing and polishing was involved. I then got a car seat upholsterer to help me develop the cowl base area and to sew the leather pieces together and attach the whole thing to the body of the seat. The nuances to the leather's coloring are lost in the pictures unfortunately. For example, the 'diamond' area of the seat is dark (almost black) on the sides which blends into the top of the seat - which in turn becomes black-burgundyish marble-like to blend with the color of the bike. The cowl area is in 3 pieces. The 2 sides of the cowl are again black-burgundy and the top piece is a redish-brown and is lighter than the sides on purpose. The tiny upright 'backrest' area at the end of the seat is again very dark. The metal Triumph badge is a gift from Fasteddy on a recent visit a few months back, so it has both aesthetic and symbolic value. So, in answer to your question, it is definetely a one-off by any measure.

Not a good picture (taken at night) but a small idea ... Remember, the leather was black originally.

It's on the cards. I've found some cool one's in black (to match the new black low handlebars I've put on the bike). Apparently they need adaptors though as the originals aren't simple bolt-ons. Trust Triumph to make life difficult. Pix of progress coming soon.

I think pea-shooter exhausts are cool.Especially on the Bonnevilles.

But Mickey Mouse ears are traditional for Triumphs.
Got bar end Napoleons on my Thruxton, love em.

I didn't go for bar ends. With cafe racers being the craze everyone's doing them. I tried a different approach - see below.

Thanks Paul. I avoded bar-end mirrors. With the current cafe-racer craze they are just too common and I wanted to do something different.
