May be the wrong forum, but wanna pick some great minds here. I bought an '05 green America with 14 k on the odo. It's set up as a single seater, has the seat rail and fender rack. Pretty clean with no dings. What would be a fair price for this bike ?
Was gonna put it on Craig's list or ebay.

I think I would list it at $4,000 so the buyer could talk you down to $3,000 to 3,500 and I would try for the $3,500.

Well I just got my Green 2005 in September for $3500.00 and felt like it was a steal. I agree $4000.00 or $3750.00. You can always come down. If I remember the lady at the bank told me it books at $4200.00.

Pics would be nice.

You break my heart Wade. Having a Red and Green one would be such a great combo.

OK, thank you gentlemen. Looks like a 50/50 split between selling it and keeping it. You bike keepers ain't helping me at all ! This was cheaper than consulting the Oracle at Delphi.
Yes, and it is a great temptation to keep it, but I bought her to resell her.
I should have never named her "Gwendolyn".

Recently sold my black one for 3k with 23,000 on it. But it went with pillion, back rest, lots of chrome, upgraded pipes.

3k to me would be average, I would set a reserve at 2800 and put it up. Goodwood was 2004 and 2005 there are not that many out there. The color may help you with interest.

Winter is bad for ebay, you lose the snowed in people who don't have much interest until the thaw.

Here is 5700 miles at a dealer for 3900 meaning he sells it at low 3000s probably. web page

You know the cost-vs-value on these bike just kill me.

I am going to spend this next year dressing my bike out the way I want her. Mainly my wife's comfort and a removable windscreen for long hauls.

The value of the accessories will be more than the bike is worth. I did check with my insurance agent accessories are covered up to $3000.00 including helmets and leathers.

I can see two in the stable in a couple years. A newer model America or Thunderbird is in my future. (don't tell the wife)

I have decided on a name for my 2005 TBA. She will be christened Tink.
She is British, Green, Tinkles with a bell, and has attitude.

KBB: $3,970 retail from a dealer
Trade in $2,720

NADA Average retail $3,340
Low retail: $2,540

So I think Ian is right. Ask for $4k and try to get $3,500.

I just bought a '09 Speedy via ebay best offer for $2200, but I consider that price a good deal.

You should do what my brother does and weekend in Yakima every once in a while.

That was a mistake. You've already formed an emotional relationship with her. How could you sell sweet Gwendolyn?

Yakima is freezing this time of year, but I'll be riding through there on my way to Idaho come May.

Ryk, Miami is in Latin America, not Florida! Just saying... And when you are in Latin America, I'm just 200 miles North.

I still have my "Goodwood Green" 2005 America. Bought her new in 2006 with 2 miles on it. In March 2016, It will be 10 years old with 72,500 miles on the odo. I've sold 3 other bikes (at least) in that time frame, and the America was never on the block, mainly because of the re-sale value, as it is worth MUCH more than the BBV to me!
