Might not be news to some of you, but...I just found the coolest riding glasses. Here's the thing; I don't need glasses to drive, just to read fine print. I've been buying the cheapo "cheaters" at the local Dollar General for years to help read with. The problem I have is that the Indian has a tiny lil led screen on the dash that gives you info like, odometer, tripmeter and some other stuff. And if I want to look at this, or a map, or the Garmin screen, I have to stop and take off my yellow tint sunglasses and put on my cheaters to read this stuff. But while meandering the aisles at my local big box lumber yard, I came across tinted sunglasses with BUILT IN BIFOCAL LENSES! Now, I can just wear the sunglasses for eye protection like usual, and with just a glance down, I can read the tiny lil information screen, garmin, map, whatever! I LOVE this product. Only $20. eye-toolsreaders.com

I bought some at Costco a couple years ago for reading on the beach while being able to get a clear view of the pretty people walking by. Never thought about riding on MC and having to stop to put on the prescrips for reading messages on the phone. Will give it a try.

There are stick on reading magnification strips available, put 'em on any glasses you fancy. I even use them occasionally on my big window electronic welding hood, they work as advertized. web page

WELL Rich, If you choose to ride an INDIAN! What can I say? I recently put LED idiot lights in the warning light panel of my America."Never forget to turn your indicators off again" OH YEAH!Not me,I've forgotten a couple of times.Especially if I have my full face lid on. I suggest we're all getting old!

My left turn signal has been on since the 70s.

Just a note about reading glasses. Been wearing them for a few years and am up to 2.25. I got a new computer at work and was having trouble reading the screen? After trying some stronger glasses I went to the eye doctor complaining I could not focus on the computer screen.
After some discussion we came to the conclusion the monitor was farther away than it had been.
The farther away you are focusing the less magnification you need. I now wear 1.75 to see the computer and 2.25 for reading books.
I learned something

That must make it tough getting somewhere... Only making left turns.

Then it sounds as if, and now that you're retiring Ed, you might just wanna consider a move to Florida and where I understand most all the retirees drive around with their turn indicators blinking for miles on end.
(...seems you'd fit right in)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

We must have the same eyesight.I'm the same.I have full size glasses[1.75] for my computer, and a smaller 2-25 pair for reading.I also have cheap store glasses tucked away all around the place[garage, riding bag, etc.]as I always seem to leave my glasses away from the place I need them
