Well since we sorta derailed here talkin about boycots and former enemies, I hooked up an ice machine for some VFW guys who REFUSED to have a Hoshizaki ice maker, so they got a USA made Manitowoc. Joke's on them 'cause nearly every internal component in that thing was from CHINA ! I think the shell may have been made in US.
I gotta wonder. Are the same people who demand we forgive and forget concerning a war we got involved in 75 years ago making excuses for people who are still taking offense over things that happened 800 years ago?
Well Larry, first of all and once again, there's a BIG ol' difference between "FORGETTING" and "FORGIVING"...the latter of which because you've always claimed to be a "good Christian", you ESPECIALLY should know something about, RIGHT?!
And secondly, and to answer your little question here, yeah, I suppose there's people out there who would be hypocritical enough to hold such a contradictory opinion in regard to The Crusades(I presume that that was what you were referencing here with your whole "800 years ago" thing, right?) and the participants of WWII, but I doubt when it comes right down to it that the people you seem to be referencing here by implication, namely the Muslims in the world, probably don't give a rat's ass about the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor and/or if perhaps we Yanks should have forgiven later generations of Japanese for this by now or not.
(...OH and btw and for the record, I'm personally of the opinion that ANYONE and REGARDLESS of whatever the hell religion someone says they are, IF they can't forgive, and once again THAT is a FAR different concept than "forgetting", then ya know WHAT? Well, their freakin' religion doesn't seem to be workin' too well for 'em to help make 'em a better person, now does it?!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
