I have read in 2 or 3 different articles relating to oil industry news, the world has run out of places to store it. There are Supertankers anchored, plumb full, being used for storage. Remember, Light Arabian Crude is so pure, it takes a great deal less to refine over the greasy mud pumped from the North Slope, so it stays in demand. But you are right, a capped well is still ready to produce another day, and money in the bank.
