On the 5th of this month I sent my fuel tap to Pingel for a rebuild and lo and behold there is a micro crack on the fuel outlet nipple/main body junction or something like that. I've yet to see it, but needless to say, Pingel says they can't rebuild it.

Pingel is shipping the antique back to me (purchased September 16, 2003). Gonna be wall art next to the Air injection octopuss among other Colonial cruiser wall art.

Good news is I am not being charged full price for a new one. Pingel is shipping me one for just about half of what I would be paying Mike or Brent.

I think Craig said he was shipping my check for $15 back too. I hope so anyways. Stinks I have to buy a new one. But what the heck, 12 years, 4 chain kits, 7 sets of tires, and untold gallons of gas later later...I can't complain. I just did though didn't I?

Nonetheless,
Hats off to Pingel!

Century+ Salute!
