That is a good idea! Too bad I don't have an airbox
I also feel bad for Mike at BellaCorse cause he is a great guy. I have continued to buy stuff from him since my cable broke. I replaced it with a Barnett, not messin around. It is very similar to stock in thickness and adjustment.

I just broke my 2 month old bellacorse throttle cable. Arghhh major pissd! 40 miles from home.
I need to call Mike and see whats up?
Whats the deal with Barnett? I don't see our cables on their website. I may just try to get a refund from Mike and go with the dependable Barnett ones.

Well Mike must be tired of dealing with this issue. He has no more cables in stock. I have to send all my cables back (which puts me down) and send them to him so he can return them to the manufacturer for "repair or replacement".
This sux!

Reido113,
What kind of response did you get from Mike Selman?
My response was, well let's just say I did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling from Mike.

With some reluctance he did replace the Clutch Cable.
I thanked him and commended him for standing good on his word. He's response to my thank you was no response!

According to Mike I was only the third person to return a cable for replacement.

I don't want to jinx anything but I've still got my SS clutch cable from BC after 1 year and 13000 miles so far (I put it on right befire the NE rally last year). It was a little difficult to get it on there but once it was there I had room to adjust it (not much) but I do have the 2-3mm of play as directed in the manual. Mind you, I still carry my stock cable in my saddlebags but the SS cable has served me well.

I'm glad this topic was resurrected. My BC clutch cable just failed on Labor Day. I also bought the set, 4" over to work with my buckhorn bars.

I called Mike and ordered a new one. He said he would repair the original, but I will wait for the new one to arrive before I send this one back.

I was really having withdrawal symptoms, so I went to my dealer and bought a stock cable to see if it I could make it work. It works, but it's too short to fasten to the downtube, so it rests against the exhaust pipe. At work, we happen to have some fire wrap for hose left over from a job, so I zipped that over the cable and I'm riding again. It looks terrible, but er, I'm riding again....

I have no complaints about Mike or his service, but this cable did not fail due to any adjustment problems. It just failed.

My stock one was frayed at the barrel, thats why I bought these. I need to see if the dealer will warrenty me a new one.
If anyone has an extra pull side throttle cable, I can give you a fedex number and send you some cash. PM me. Thanx

Dido, He puts all the clutch cable blame on the rider not having it adjusted properly.
As for my throttle cable, he will have it replaced, but it may take weeks to get it.
All and all, He could do better by having a new cable sent to me immediatly and direct from the factory and worry about getting my cable back later. I may ask for a full refund now because of this. Any suggestions?

Just an update...

As I mentioned, I called Mike about my broken clutch cable on Tuesday the 5th. He ordered another cable for me and said it would take 3 weeks to arrive. Well, it came today. Instead of 3 weeks, it took less than 2. I don't know if things went normally or if he jumped through a hoop or two on my behalf, but I am happy as a beetle to get this cable prior to my 300 mile trek to Dinqualand.....

I love happy endings.

I just dropped Mike @ Bellacorse a mail. I've been waiting for 2 1/2 months for my push throttle cable (the nut at the throttle assembly broke off the threads) I haven't got that one yet, no big deal, but since, the pull side broke at the barrel, Now I'm dead. I hope he can speed me along. If thats now possible. We'll see.
Glad your fixed up now though.. Booo Hoooo... Boo Hoooooo....
